Puppet Animation Scotland is looking for a hard-working and effective Digital Communications Assistant to help us deliver our annual programme of festivals and events. A Creative Scotland Regularly Funded Organisation, each year we present the manipulate Visual Theatre and the Puppet Animation Festival, as well as a wide range of creative and technical training and development opportunities for puppeteers and visual theatre artists.
We would like to appoint a Digital Communications Assistant to work on a one-year renewable contract (three days a week, working flexibly according to our annual programme’s peaks and fallow periods). The position is part of a team of four staff – Artistic Director, Festivals & Projects Manager, Administrator and a Digital Communications Officer – The Digital Communications Assistant will provide marketing support for the team and the organisation’s activities. It is a demanding role, involving a wide range of projects, priorities and deadlines, as well as guiding effectively and efficiently our key digital marketing campaigns. We are looking for an enthusiastic and pro-active individual to support our digital communications work. This a great opportunity for an individual to develop their skills and experience in a small yet dynamic team.
You must be organised, enthusiastic and have a clearly demonstrable knowledge of digital communications. Above all, you will be motivated, adaptable and have outstanding written and verbal communication skills. We’ll expect you to work hard to support the team, but we also see this as a chance for you to develop your skills and experience. We expect you to contribute fully with your thoughts and ideas, and bring your personality and passion to the role.
