We Need Two Sopranos for manipulate 2019!

We are looking for two confident sopranos with classical music-sounding voices, to perform during the manipulate Visual Theatre Festival 2019.

One of the productions we are presenting during the festival – Karl Jay-Lewin and Matteo Fagion’s EXTREMELY PEDESTRIAN CHORALES – requires a choir of eight to sing two Bach chorales in German, by heart. While you will be onstage and integral to the production, you will not be required to do anything but sing at the right time!

You will need to be available for one rehearsal on Monday 7 January 2019, 6pm to 7pm at a central Edinburgh venue, and from 2pm on the afternoon of the performance itself on Monday 24 February 2019 at the Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh.

We pay a fee of £25.00 plus reasonable travel expenses, a meal on the day of the performance and two tickets to any other production of your choice during manipulate 2019.

If you are interested please e-mail manipulate’s artistic director, Simon Hart, with a short summary of your singing experience: simon@puppetanimation.org by Friday 7 December 2018 at 12pm.
