Puppet Animation Scotland is seeking someone with initiative, empathy, rigour and exceptional communication skills to join our small team in the role of Marketing Manager, at an exciting time in our organisation’s development.

Puppet Animation Scotland is a Scottish-based creative organisation whose mission is to champion, develop and present puppetry, visual theatre and animated film in Scotland and internationally. Each year we produce two festivals, MANIPULATE and Puppet Animation Festival, alongside a year-round programme of artist development and community engagement activities. Alongside the sector-wide changes brought by the pandemic and the escalating climate crisis, we are in a moment of redevelopment around our core activity and festivals work so it is a great moment to join the team and work with us during a time of exciting new developments for our organisation.

The Marketing Manager is a re-developed position within the Puppet Animation Scotland team, with lead management responsibility for both communications across the portfolio of our work. It would suit a candidate who is a strategic thinker and confident communicator, with a background in communications and experience of engaging a wide range of stakeholders. The purpose of the role is to work with the Puppet Animation Scotland team to raise the profile of the organisation, engage diverse stakeholders with our mission, and to play a key role in realising our aim to champion, develop and promote puppetry, visual theatre and animated film in Scotland.

We have put together a job pack to give prospective candidates a clearer idea of who we are, what it might be like to work with us, and what the role entails. Read more and access this pack on our jobs page.
